Bruiser is back and I couldn't be more happy! We had a perfect weekend of playing, being productive, eating and catching up.
Friday afternoon we both had scheduled eye appointments for new glasses (Nerds who buy glasses together, stay together). I am so excited about my new glasses. I have to wait a whole week for them to come in. I am far too impatient for all that.
That night we went to check out a new cute little Italian restaurant down the street from our house. Apparently decent Italian food isn't prevalent in the desert and Bruiser was getting the shakes. We also had our first snap of cool Fall weather. Everything was just perfect.
Then we jumped down the rabbit hole. We tried the new frozen yogurt place on Capitol Hill. I've been trying so long to avoid it knowing that I would likely not be able to love another. And was I right. We may have run in there 5 minutes before they closed on Saturday night trying to get a fix like we had a heroin problem.

Yesterday, we ran errands. I know this may sound stupid but...there are few things that make me happier than running errands with the Bruiser. Like most men I know, he's not exactly slapping his hands together in excitement over shopping. And like most women I know, I don't like being rushed when I am shopping. This is why we don't usually run errands together. But these boring chores are just SO MUCH more fun when I have a little partner in crime with me.
Sunday morning I woke up to discover a little Rock Hudson / Doris Day on the Teevs. God help me, I sure do love me some old Rock Hudson / Doris Day movies. And, God help me, I sure do love waking up before Bruiser to get control of the front Teevs.

A pot of sawce is on, I just finished making some homemade pasta for our feast tonight as we watch the Emmy's and cheer for all our favorite shows.
The small things, you know.....
Ohhhhh yeah. Um, and, I may have taken the plunge and bought an iPad. I sold a few organs after I wrote that post on Friday and promised to give away my first born.
But damn, she's worth it.

Hope you all have a great week. Me and la petite Shelbs plan to take the world by storm. Fine. Maybe not the world but at least Bubble Burster.
